From a young age, I’ve always been passionate about sport, in particular, cricket and this was where my interest in musculoskeletal conditions and biomechanical injuries was born.
After completing my BSc (Hons) in Podiatric Medicine from the University of Huddersfield, I worked for the NHS and private practice in West Yorkshire before moving to the Midlands to specialise as a Specialist Musculoskeletal Podiatrist with a focus on Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Recently, I’ve completed my Master’s in Clinical Biomechanics which now equips me with tools such as Gait analysis, sports biomechanics and Podopaediatrics.
To compliment my academic qualifications and my keenness for being active, I’ve completed courses and training in running injuries, kinesiology taping, soft tissue and joint mobilisation, techniques for foot and ankle strengthening and biomechanics workshops.
Although not a runner, I was persuaded to participate in the Birmingham half marathon and managed to finish with a time of 1 hour 57 minutes!
Normally, you’ll find me in the Harborne and Edgbaston areas playing cricket, squash and badminton so please do say hi.
