About Us
Mr. M. Tausif Podiatrist - BSc (Hons) Podiatric Medicine, MSc (Clinical Biomechanics), MCPod
Tausif is a passionate and friendly podiatrist, with experience across all areas of podiatry. He has a special interest in treating musculoskeletal conditions, with extensive knowledge of biomechanics as well as other aspects of podiatry.
After completing a BSc (Hons) in Podiatric Medicine from the University of Huddersfield, I worked for NHS and Private podiatry clinics in West Yorkshire.
I have worked at Sandwell and West Birmingham Trust for over 5 years as a Specialist Musculoskeletal Podiatrist with a focus on Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Currently, I am a Clinical Lead in Rheumatology Podiatry at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.
After four years of practice, I commenced a Masters in Clinical Biomechanics at Staffordshire University. This course focused on the latest in treatment for Musculoskeletal injuries in the lower limb, Gait analysis, Sports biomechanics and Podopaediatrics.
I love learning – constantly seeking opportunities to diversify and refine my podiatry skills. Completing courses in running injuries, kinesiology taping, soft tissue and joint mobilisation, techniques for foot and ankle strengthening and biomechanics workshops.
I am a keen sportsman, I enjoy playing cricket, badminton, table tennis and squash. I am a member for Harborne Cricket club. I enjoy running (I am not born runner) and have run the Birmingham half marathon with the best time of 1hr 57 min.
I am registered with HCPC Health and Care Professions Council which is a regulatory body for health professions. This body ensures clinician maintain professional qualifications through continuous professional development.
We can provide health education and presentation on foot health, footwear and treatments for local groups and organisations.
“Having been to visit Tausif at his practice several times l can highly recommend him. As a diabetic l need to take care of my feet and have complete confidence in his care and advice. He has recently re-opened after Covid-19 and there are several new measures in place to minimise any possibility of cross infection.”
